Content Assistant


Reporting to our Content Co-ordinator your role will support the process of creating and distributing engaging digital content. You will have the opportunity to utilise your creative flair by bringing Spell’s story to life with imagination and innovation, engaging with our community on multiple platforms on a day-to-day basis. Not only will you have the opportunity to work from our beautiful Byron Bay office, but you’ll also be able to collaborate with a creative team in capturing the exciting day to day that is the Spell brand.


  • Collaborate to create content, assets, and briefs for Spell’s social media channels
  • Direct and create content both independently with content creators and graphic design
  • Direct and create Spell Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and reels with content creators (still imagery, flat lays, short videos)
  • Edit or direct video edits for brand videos
  • Assist in running Spell’s social media daily, including weekends and evenings when necessary
  • Community engagement across all social media channels
  • Assist in scheduling social media plan for daily posting
  • Assist in social media reporting monthly
  • Speaking to camera for Q&As, engaging Instagram stories
  • Monitoring social media and marketing trends and adapting this for the Spell community channels
  • Monitoring Spell Facebook groups
  • Assist in content creation logistics like sample management, steaming
  • Event and marketing assistance where necessary
  • Assist with content administration ie. Facebook Drop Breakdown



You will have an innate sense of creativity and curiosity, with a passion for high-quality content, user engagement, community development and results-driven strategies. Your social media skills are second nature to you; you have an eye for design, and you thrive working in a fast-paced environment.


  • Social media skills across multi-platforms
  • Video editing skills (phone apps fine)
  • A hands-on approach and a proven self-starter
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Photography and photo editing skills
  • Understanding of social media best practice and algorithm
  • Impeccable attention to detail and copy writing skills
  • Ability to speak to camera when required
  • Driver’s License and Car essential


  • Marketing, social media, or content related degree
  • Experience in similar roles or proven experience through own channels


  • Finish at 3pm on Fridays
