The fabric on these bathers is superb! It’s not your typical swim fabric. It’s soft, it’s thick, it’s even slightly fluffy to me. It reminds me of vintage swimwear fabric! It made me feel like I’d scored it second hand in Height-Ashbury or something! And the fit… 😘👌🏼

They are so flattering being a high waist and the little tassels either side are fun and functional if you want to raise the hips up to 80s-90s era. That’s actually my only qualm. I’d have loved the hip length be lower, like 50s-60s swimwear. More boy-leg would have been more traditional for the pattern I thought. I feel like this piece did the best of both vintage worlds though. Just a shame the bikini top piece was only catered to the petite. The thin strap across the back didn’t look like it would be flattering or supportive for larger women so I wear this with the Joshua Tree bralette and it clashes really well but supports the girls better! Fabulous option if you’re “plus size” and wanted to give this pattern a go. I would have gone with the one piece if the back weren’t missing. This fabric is everything! LOVE!
